National Mustard Day falls on the first Saturday of August. That’s today.
How should you celebrate?
Check out all the different types of mustard in our Mustard Glossary. You won’t believe how many there are!
Buy a new specialty mustard to enjoy with lunch or dinner. See reviews of some of our favorite mustards.
Try some recipes with mustard. It has almost no calories. Mix it into potato salad, for example—it cuts down on the mayo. Try a mustard crust on fish or meat instead of a higher-calorie sauce. Make flavorful dips with yogurt and mustard instead of sour cream and mayonnaise. Mix a teaspoon of Dijon mustard into vinaigrette. You’ll find more uses than you can shake a spoon at.
Read the history of mustard—a good read, by the way. Mustard is hot stuff!
